FOR PAVING POttTION OF FIRST
STREET, NATIONAL A NUE TO
F AVENUE.
RESOLUTION OF AV1ARD NO.

RESOLVED, that the Board of TrusteeB of the City of
IJational City, California, having in open session on the
5th day of September, 1922, opened, examined and publicly
declared all sealed proposals, or bids, offered for doing
the following work, to -wit.
All the work described in Resolution of Intention
a
No. 735 aci1opted by the Board of Trustees of said City on
the 21st day of June, 1922, and on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said City, for the paving of a portion of the
width and other improvement of First Street in said City
from the Eaeterly line of National Avenue to the Easterly
line of F Avenue, including the entire porti•on of all ter-

minations of streets and. the entire portions of all inter
ecting streets within the limits of said work, except the
terminations of all alleys on the Northerly side of said
First Street from the Easterly line of National Avenue to the
Westerly line of D Avenue.
For a description of the work, refeience is hereof made
to said Resolution of Invention No. 735.
All of said work shall be done strictly in accordance
with the plans, profiles, drawings, typical crossections
and specifications therefor, contained in Documnt No. 2346
on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and
copies of which are on file in the office of the City Engineer
of said City, and by reference thereto all said glans, profiles,
drawings, typical cros.eections and specifications contained
in said Document No. 2346 are incorporated herein and made a
part hereof.
The costs and expenses of said work and improvement are
to be assessed upon the di8trict which is more particularly
described in said Resolution of Intention No. 735.
The said Board of Trustees determined that serial bonds
to extend over a period of nine years from the second day of
January next succeeding their issuance, bearing interest at
the rate of seven per cent per annum, ehall be issued to re-
present assessments of Twenty-five flollarB, or over, for the
costs of said work and improvement.
For further particulars reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention No. 735.
That only one bid was received for said work, to -wit:
the bid. of Fajrchj1d-Gilrnore-Wi1ton.Co,, and the City Engineer
of said City Navin; reported to this Board that said bid, in
his opinion, is a very reasonable bid, and it appearing to
said Board that said bid is a reasonable bid, -
THEREFORE, it hereby awards the Contract for said work
to the lowest responsible bidder, to -wit: to FAIROHILD-GILMORE
WILTON-CO. at the prices specified in its bid for said work on
file in the office of the Clerk of said City of National City,
to -wit:

The Clerk of Said City of National City is hereby directed
to poet a notice of this award conspicuously for five days on
or near the chamber door of the said board of Trustees, end
also to cause said notice to be published by one insetion in
The National City News, a weekly newspaper published and
circulated, and of general circulation in said City of
National City, and hereby designated for that purpoee.
Passed and adopted by the Board. of Trustees of the City
of National City, California, this 5th day of September,
1922, by the following vote, to -grit:
