RESOLVED, that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of National City, California, to order the following street work to be done in said City, to-*lt: That stripe of Portland cement concrete pavement be constructed contiguous to the curbing along the eaeterly side of National Avenue, said pavement to be located and described as follows: A strip 6.1 feet in *idtb and ext en dl rig from the southerly line of First Street, produced westerly, to a point 187.5 feet southerly from said southerly line of First street, produced *eeterly, excepting therefrom the area occupied by *ing*all and apron at e nd of culvert, in front of the entire frontage, on said National Avenue, of the following lots and Lands, to -grit: In front of the Northerly Half of the Westerly Quarter of Ten Acre Lot 2, except Easterly forty feet, Northerly forty feet and westerly forty feet, Quarter Section 155, Rancho de la Nacion, and in front of the northerly half of Lot 1, Walsh's Subdivision; Also, a strip described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the southerly line of Second Street, produced westerly, with the easterly curb line of National Avenue; thence westerly along said southerly line of Second Street a distance of 6.3 feet; thence southerly on a straight line to a point which is 75 feet southerly from said south- erly line of Second Street, produced westerly, and 6.1 feet westerly from the easterly curb line of National Avenue; thence easterly a distance of 6.1 feet to the easterly curb line of National Avenue at a point 75 feet southerly from the southerly line of Second street, produced westerly; thence northerly along said easterly curb line to the point of be- ginning, excepting therefrom the area occupied by *lng*all and apron at end of culvert, in front of the entire frontage, on said National. Avenue, of the following lots and lands, to*it: In front of Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 1, J. L. Pearson' s Subdivision; Also, a strip 6.2 feet in width and extending from the northerly line of Third Street, produced westerly, to a point 125 feet northerly from said northerly line of Third Street, produced westerly, excepting therefrom the area occupied by wing*all and apron at end of culvert, in front of the entire frontage, on said National Avenue, of the following lots and lands, to-.wlt: In front of Lots 6, 7, 8,9 and 10, Block 1, J. L. Pearson's Subdivision; Also, a strip 6.1 feet in width and extending from the southerly line of Third Street, produced westerly, to the northerly line of Fourth Street, produced westerly, excepting therefrom the areas occupied by wingwalls and aprons at ends of culverts, in front of the entire frontage, on said National Avenue, of the following lots and lands, towit: In front of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 1, W. R. Rea's Subdivision, and in front of Lot 1, Chas. Hubble's Subdivision; Also, a strip 6.3 feet in *idth and extending from the southerly line of Fourth Street, produced west- erly, to a point 125 feet southerly from said southerly 2, line of Fourth Street, produced *esterly, excepting there- from the area occupied by wingwall and apron at end of culvert,- in front of the entire frontage, on said National Avenue, of the following late and lands, to -wit: In front of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, R. R. Morrison's Subdivision; Also, a strip 6.3 feet in *idth and extending from the northerly line of Fifth Street, produced west- erly, to a point 65 feet northerly from said northerly line of Fifth Street, produced westerly, excepting there- from the area occupied by *Ing*all and apron_ at end of culvert, in front of the entire frontage, on said National Avenue, of the following lots and lands, to -wit: In front of the southerly 30 feet of Lot 7, N. Block 1, Kimball.' e Subdivision, and in front of Lot 8, Block 1, Kimball's Subdivision; Also, a strip 5.9 feet in width and extending from a point 125 feet southerly from the southerly line of Fifth Street, produced westerly, to a point 175 feet southerly from said, southerly line of Fifth Street, pro- duced *esterly, in front of the entire frontage, on said National Avenue, of the following lots and lands, towit: In front of Lots 6 and 7, Block 1, Flemings Subdivision; Also, that stripe of Portland cement concrete pave- ment be constructed contiguoue to the curbing along the westerly side of National Avenue, said pavement to be located and described as follows: A strip described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the northerly line of Eecond street, produced easterly, with the westerly curb Line of National Avenue; thence easterly along said northerly line of Second Street, produced easterly, a distance of 6 feet; thence northerly on a straight line to a point *hich is 175 feel northerly from said northerly line of Second Street,produoed easterly, and 5.8 feet easterly from the *esterly curb line of National Avenue; thence westerly a distance of 5.8 feet to the westerly curb line of National Avenue at a point 175 feet northerly from the northerly line of Seoond street, produced easterly; thence southerly along said *esterly curb line to the point of beginning, in front of the entire frontage, on said. National Avenue, of the following lots and lands, towit: In front of Late 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19, Block 2, flap of National City; Also, a strip 5.9 feet in width and extending from the northerly line of Third Street, produced easterly, to a point 126.5 feet northerly from said northerly line of Third Street, produced eaeterly, in front of the entire frontage, on said National Avenue, of the foilo*ing late and lands, to -:sit: In front of Lots 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17, Block 3, Map of National City; I Also, a strip 6 feet in *idth and extending from the northerly line of Fourth Street, produced easterly, to a point 150 feet northerly fromsaid northerly line of Fourth Street, p±oduced easterly, in front of the entire frontage, on said national Avenue, of the following lots and lands, tr wit: In front of Dote 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18, Block 4, Map of National City. S. All of %es,id work to be done as ebown upon and acccrd- ing to the plans, dra.*inge, typical oroeesectione anal specificatione therefor contained in Document No. 2:LL1L. on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and copies of which are on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City. All of said plane, dra*inge, typicalcross-sections and specifications contained in said Document No. 2� a are hereby approved and adopted as the plane, dra*inge, typical. cross -sections and specifications to be followed in making said improvement, and by reference thereto all said plans, drawings, typical cross -sections and specifi- cations contained in said Document No. Z�!�f7 are incor- porated herein and made a part hereof. The said Board of.Truetees hereby determines that serial bonds bearing interest at the rate of seven per cent per annum shall be ieeued to represent assessments of Twenty-five dollars or over for the cost of said work or improverent. Said serial bonds shall extend- over a period of nine year from the second day of January next succeeding their ieeuance, and an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be payable by coupon, on the second day of January, every year after their date, until the whole is paid, and the interest shall be payable semi-annually, by coupon, on the aeconcl days of January and July, respectively, of each year, at the rate of seven per cent per annum on all sums unpaid., until the *hole of said principal and interest are paid. Said bonds shall be issued in accordance with the provisions of an. Act of the Legislature of the State of California., entitled, "An Act to Provide a Systernof street Imprcvemer+t Bends to Represent Certain Assessments for the Cost of Street Work and Improvearent Within Municipalities, and also for the Payment of such Bonds," approved February 27th, 1893, and of all acts euplenientary thereto or airendatory thereof. And Bald Board of Trustees hereby determines that said serial bonds shall be issued to represent the expenses of said work or improvement. That the National City Neale, a weekly newspaper pub liehed and circulated, and of general circulation in said. City Of National,. City, be and it is hereby designated as the newspaper in which this Resolution of Intention shall be published by two insertions, and the notice of the paesage thereof shall be published by one insertion in the manner and by the persons requires by lave. That the Clerk of said City of National City be, and he is hereby directed to post this Resolution conspicuously for t*o days on or near the chamber door of said Board of Trustees, and cause the same to be pub1ihed by t*o in sertlons in said weekly ne*spaper in the manner required by law. That the Superintendent of Streets of said. City of National City shall, after the passage of this Besolution of Intention, cause to be conspicuously posted along all streets and parts of streets and other public places and. right B- of -.*ay ihe re the work and improvement hereinbefore described is to be dne and made, notices of the paeeage of this Resolution in the manner and in the form re- quired by law, and shall also Cause a notice eimil&r in substance to be published by one insertion in said National City News in the manner requiredby la*, and tbereupon said Superintendent of Streets shall cause to be filed in the office of the City Clerk of said City afidav1te sho*ing the posting and publication of said notices of said rork. That the City Clerk of said City be, and he is hereby directed, immediately upon the passage of this Resolution_. of Intention to mail *ith postage thereon prepaid to each property owner w1oe property ie to be aeBeseed. to pay the costs and expenses of said improvement at his last known address as the same appears upon the tax rolls of eaid. City, or when no address so appears, to the gene ral. delivery, a postal card contanlng notice of the passage of this Peeo luetion designating the location and limits of the irnprot venent provided for herein as required by law, and referring 4 to this Resolution for particulars, and stating that ro- perty belonging to such owner is to be assessed for such improvement, all in the manner, substance and form as pre ecribed by law, and thereupon said Clerk shall catse to be filed Affidavits in proof of such mailing.
