Resolution of Intention to grade that certain Street
in the Cdty of National City, California, commonly known as "N
Avenue" from the ethery line of that street commonly known
as "Eighteenth Street" in said City to the northerly line of
the street in said City commonly known as "Twenty fourth Street."
Resolved that it is the intention of the Board of
Trustees of the City of National City, a municipal corporation in
the County of San Diego, State of California, to order the
following street work to be done in said City, to...wit:
That that certain public street in said City commonly
known and described as "N Avenue" from the Itgaly line of the
street commonly known as "Eighteenth Street' in said City to the
northerly line of that certain street in said City commonly
known as "Twenty fourth Street" including all intersections of
streets between said pints with said street so to be graded and
the sidewalks of such intersections, excepting such portions of
said street commonly known as "N" Avenue" between said points and
of the said intersections of streets therewith, between said
points required by law to be kept in order or repair by any per-
son or company having railroad tracks thereon, and excepting all
portions :of said street commonly known as "N" Avenue between said
points already graded or by this Board of Trustees ordered to be
graded; be graded to the official grade thereof according to the
specifications therefor contained in ordinance No. 323 of the
ordinances of the City of National City, California, entitled
"An ordinance prescribing specifications for the grading of strets
in the City of National City, California," duly passed acid adopted
on the first day of March, 1910.

Also that there be constructed 1-- said street so to be
graded, eulverts with catch basins and covers therefor as follows,

FIRST: One 12 inch round corrugated ingot iron cul-
vert extending across said "N" Avenue in the southerly gutter
line of Eighteenth Street. Also wing walls)abutments and catch
basins , with the covers for the same, appurtenant therein as
shown on the drawing lettered "B 12 Id" filed in the office of the
City Engineer of said City; also one 12 inch concrete pipe cul-

vert in the southerly gutter Line ofEighteenth Street in said City
from the westerly line of said N Avenue to a point 120 feet
westerly therefrom, thence at right angles southerly 116 feet
together with the elbow catch basin,cover for the same, wing wall
and abutments appurtenant thereto as shown on drawing "B 12 N",
aforesaid.
SECOND: One 12 inch corrugated iron culvert extending
from the easterly curb line of said street commonly known as "N"
Avenue westerly across said "N" Avenue including the westerly side-
walk thereof so as to run two feet clear of the westerly embank-
ment thereof, all at the intereetion of said street commonly known
as "2J" Avenue with the northerly gutter line of the street in
said City commonly known as "Twentieth Street."
Also one concrete catch basin inlet with cast iron
cover at the easterly end of said culvert in accordance with said
drawing; "B 12 N" filed in the City Engineer's office of said City.
Also one 12 inch corrugated iron pipe culvert extend-
ing across d*t?3I street commonly known as Twentieth Street at its
intersection with the easterly gutter line of said "N" Avenue as
projected across said Twentieth Street, said culvert connecting
with hd terminating at its northerly end in the concrete catch
basin last above mentioned, all in accordance with said drawing
numbered "B 12 N."
THIRD: Also one 10 inch corrugated iron culvert, ex-
tending across the street in said City commonly known as Twenty-
second street, at its intersection with the easterly butter line
of said street commonly known as "N" Avenue if projected across

cover in accordance with drawing No. B 12 N above mentioned, at
the southerly end of said last mentioned culvert.
The street commonly known as Eighteenth Streets is for
the purpose of this resolution hereby defined to be that certain
street in said city, the southerly half of which was deeded to said
city as a prolongation of Eighteenth Street in that certain deed
executed by Flora M. Kimball to said City of date December 7.
1893, recorded in book 230 of deeds at page 19 Records of San Diegp
County, California, in the office of the County Recorder thereof,
and which appears under said name "Eighteenth 6treet"n the map
of aia114 J. D. O'Connell's Terrace. eub-'division in said City number-
ed 1229 filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego
County, California.
The street commonly known as Twentieth Street is for
the purposes of this resolution hereby defined to be that certain
street in said city lying immediately north of blocks 1 and 8

of SarahC,Kimbali's sub -division of Forty acTh lot No. 2 in quarter
section 133 National Ranch according to the map of said subdivision
numbered 584 filed in the office of the County Recorder of said
San Diego County, California, and intersecting and crossing a
prolongation of the street separating said two blocks as shown on

said map.
The street commonly known as "Twenty Second Street"
is for the purposes of this resolution hereby defined to be that
certain street in said city lying immediately north of blocks Sand
6 and south of blocks 2 and 7 af said Sarah C. Kimball's sub-
division according to said map thereof, and intersecting and cross-
ing the street separating said respective blocks 2 and 3 from said
respectie blocks 7 and 6, as shown on said map.
The street commonly known as °Twenty Fourth Street" is
for the purposes of this resolution hereby defined to be that
certain street in said city lying immediately south of blocks 4
and 5 of said ahCKimballts subdivision ;cording to said map
thereof, and intersecting and crossing a prolongation of the

affected by this resolution is hereby defined as consisting of
and including the following, to -wit:
(mul4 Beginning at a point on the southerly line of
Eighteenth Street in said city as said Eighteenth Street appears on
the map of Winnetka Terrace in said city on file in the office of
the county recorder of San Diego County, Californian which point
is forty feet easterly from the westerly dine of the southeasterly
quarter of forty acfe lot 1 of 1/4 section 133 Rancho de la Nacion

as shown on said map of Winnetka Terrace, thence in a straight line
south l831' east along the westerly line of Block 3 of said
Winnetka Terrace as shown on said map, and across Twentieth Street
as shown pnsaidnap and the southerly half of which is shown as
an unnamed street pn the map of said Sarah C. Kimball's subdivi-'
sion of Forty Acre lot No. 2 in 1/4 section 133 Rancho de la
Nacion, which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder
of the County of San Diego, California, on the 20 day of February
1889 and is numbered 584, as aforesaid, and along the westerly
line of blocks B, 7, 6, and b of said SarahtKimbal1'S subdivision
according to said map last mentioned, and across the intervening
streets shown on said man last mentioned, and each designated as
"street" thereon, all as shown on said map last mentioned, to the
northerly line of the unnamed street south of said Block 5 of
said Sarah'Kimbal1'S subdivision as shown on said map last mention-
601; which street is comOonly known and described as Twenty court h
Street; thence south 77.E west along the northerly line of said
last mentioned street 80 feet or thereabouts to the southeasterly
cprner of block 4 of said Sarah C. Kimball's subdivision accordilg
to said last mentioned map, thence in a straight line north 18°
31' west along the easterly line of blocks 4, 3, 2 and 1 of said
Sarah C. Kimball's subdivision, according to said map and across
the unnamed intervening streets each thereon designated as "street"
and across thE1narfled street north of bl 4111i 1 of said Sarah C.

Kimball's subdivision as shown on said last mentioned map; and
along the westerly line of that certain street deeded as a pro-
longation of N Avenue to the city of National City, California,
by Flora M. Kimball by deed of date December 7, 1893, recorded in
book 230 of deeds at page 19, in the office of the County Recorder
of said County of San Diego, to the southerly line of the street
deeded to said City by the deed last mentioned as a prolongation
of Eihteenth Street in said City; thence north 71° 13' East 80
feet or thereabouts along the southerly line of said last mention'
ed street as described in said deed and along the southerly line

of Eighteenth Street as shown on said map of said Winnetka Terrace
to point of beginning.

That the contractor or contractors to whom a contract
shall be awarded for doing aid work shall take and remove from
the streets to be graded, all surplus dirt and material which may
result from the doing of said work, and shad supply all deficien-

cies in dirt required to bring said portion of said Avenue
to be graded pursuant hereto, to its said official grade.
That all said wor7S shall be done under the direction and
to the satisfaction of the superintendent of streets of said
city.
That the Rational City News, a weekly newspaper printed
published and circulated and of general circulation in said City
of National City, be and it is hereby designated as the newspaper
in which this Resolution of Intention shall be published by two
successive insertions, and the notice of the passage thereof shall
be published once in the manner and by the persons required by law.

That the City Clerk of the said City of National City
be, and he is hereby, directed to post this resolution of intention
conspicuously for twb days on or near the chamber door of this
Board of Trustees, and to cause the same to be published by two
insertions in said weekly newspaper in the manner required by law.
That the Street Superintendent of said City of National
pity shall thereupon cause to be conspicuously posted along the
line of said contemplated work abovedescribed, notices of the
passage of this resolution, in the manner and form required by
law, and shall also cause a notice similar in substance to be
published once in said weekly newspaper in the manner required by
law•
Passed and adopted this 1 day of October, 1912, by
the Board of Trustees of the City of National City, CaliforrPta,
