RESOLUTION OF,fINTENTION TO PAVE WITH
AS?H4T PAVENENT ON A CONCfflTE BASE,
CERTAIN PORTIONS OP NATIflIdAL AVENUE
IN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITX, CALIP
ORNIA, AND TO CONE3TBUCT CERTAIN CUL\�BTS

BESOLV]D: That it is the intention of the Board
of Trusteee of the City of National City, California, a muni-
t
cipal corporation, in the County of man Diego, State of California
to order the following street work and improvement to be done
in said City, to -wit:
That a strip sixty feet wide, to -raft; thirty feet
on each side of the center line of National. Avenue in the City
of National City, California, from the northerly line of First
street in said City to the northerly line of sixth Street in
said City, and also the thtersections with said National
Avenue between curb lines, of all streets intersecting said
National Avenue between said points, for the entire width and
length of such interjections, except such portions of said
of streets therewith
National Avenue and of said intersectioneAbetween said points
used by the track, between the rails and for two feet on each
side thereof, and between the tracks where there is more than
one, of any person, or company, having railroad tracks thereon;
And also that the roadway of said National Avenue
from curb Itne to curb line from the northerly line of Sixth
Street in said City to the southerly line of Thirteenth Street
in said City, including the intersections with said National
Avenue, between curb lines, of all streets intersecting -
said Rational Avenue, between said points for the entire width
and length of such intersections; except the portions of said
National Avenue and the intersections of streets therewith used
by the track between the rails and for two feet on each- side
thereof and between the tracks where there is mre than one,
of any peron, or company, having railroad tracks thereon;

Be paved with asphalt on a concrete' base according
] to the specifications therefor contained in Ordinance No. 396
2 of the Ordinances of the City of 1ationai City, California,
3 entitled "An Ordinance prescribing the manner of paving streets
•
4 with asphalt pavement laid on a concrete base, in the City of
5 National City, California,' duly passed and adopted on the 19
6 say of November, 1912, and in accordance with the plans, draw-
ings and typical cross sections shown on the drawing numbered
"B 12 N" an file in the office of the City Engineer of said
City.
Also that there be constructed in said National Avenue
from the southerly line of Sixth Street in said. City to the
southerly line of Thirteenth' Street in said City, granite block
gutters, in accordance with the specifications therefor contain-
ed in Ordinance No. 397 of the Ordinances of the City of National
City, Californian entitled "An Ordinance prescribing the manner
of constructing granite block gutters in the City of National.
City, California", duly passed and adopted on the 19th day of
November, 1912, and in accordance with the document numbered "B
12 N" on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City.
,Also that as a part of said work and improvement there
be constructed in said Nati.onal.Avenue the following culverts,
and structures, to -wit:
One 30 inch part circle corrugated ingot iron culvert
and its accessories including wing walls, abutments v one concrete
catch basin and connecting culverts under cross walks, across
said National Avenue at its intersection with the. northerly

gutter line of said First Street.
One 24 inch part circle corrugated ingot iron culvert
and its accessories including wing walls,abutmento, and connect-
ing culvert under cross walk,in the easterly gutter line of

Street in said City, across the intersection of the same with
said National Avenue.

tion thereat' with Thirteenth Street in said City.
That all of said paving, granite block guttering, grad-
ing, filling, culverts ad accessories shall conform to the plans
and drawings, typical cross sections and particular specifications
therefor, contained in document numbered "B 12 N" filed in the
office of the City Engineer of said City, which plans, drawings,
typical cross sections and particular specifications are hereby

approved as the plans, drawings., typical cross sections and parti
cular specifications for said worksin addition to the specifications
contained in said Ordinances numbered 396 and 397 and said.p1ans,
drawings, typical cross sections and partIcular specifications,
together with the specifications in said Ordinances numbered 396
and 397 are hereby by reference to said document numbered "B 12 N"

and to said Ordinances numbered 396 and 397 incorporated herein as
part of this olut i ate.
All of said work shall be done under the direction and to the
satisfaction of the Superintendept of Streets of CitAnd said Board of Trstees does hereby saidecare that�
in its opinion the said contemplated work and improvement is of
more than local or ordinary public benefit, and that the expense
of the same shall be chargeable upon a district, which district
is hereby declared to be the district benefited by said work and
improvement and to be: assessed to pay the cosh and expenses
thereof.
Said district is that bounded and described as follows,
towit:
Beginning at the point on the northerly municipal
boundary line of the City of National City, California,, where the
same intersects the line of mean high tide of the Bay of San Diego,
thence north 71° East, along said northerly municipal boundary line
of said City to its intersection with the easterly municipal bound-
ary lines of said City. thence South 19° east along said easterly
municipal boundary line of said City to its intersection with the
southerly munigipal boundary line of said City thence south 71° weib
along said southerly municipal boundary lime of said City to its
intersection with the line of mean high tide of the Bay of San Dieg
thence following said line of mean high tide and the meanders there
of in a general northwesterly direction to point of beginning, ex-
cepting, however, therefrom all public streets, squares, lanes,
or
alleye, courts, parks,1 places within said boundaries of said dis-
trict.
That the National City News, a newspaper printed and pub-
lished weekly in said City of National City, California, is hereby
designated as the newspaper in which this resolution of intention
shall be published twice in the manner required by law;
That the City Clerk of the ity of National City, Calif-
ornia, be, and he is hereby, directed to cause this Resolution to
be .,,.published twice in said newspaper designated as aforesaid for
that purpose.
That the Street Superintendent shall immediately after
the adoption of this resolution of intention cause to be conspicu-

Passed and adopted by the Board of Trusteed of the
City of National City, California, this 3rd day of December,
1912, by the following vote, to -wit:
