HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010 CC RESO 2010-196 CDCRESOLUTION NO. 2010 — 196 RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY APPROVING THE SECTION 8 MANAGEMENT ASSESSMENT PROGRAM (SEMAP) FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2010, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO SUBMIT THE ANNUAL SEMAP TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, on September 10, 1998, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) published its final rule for the Section 8 Management Assessment Program (SEMAP) which took effect on October 13, 1998; and WHEREAS, SEMAP provides for the objective measurement of the performance of a Public Housing Agency (PHA) in key areas of the Section 8 Tenant -based Rental Assistance Program; and WHEREAS, the SEMAP requires a Public Hearing Agency (PHA) who administers Section 8 Tenant -based Rental Assistance Programs to submit annually a SEMAP certification form. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Community Development Commission of the City of National City hereby approves the Section 8 Management Assessment Program (SEMAP). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Executive Director is hereby authorized to submit the SEMAP certification form to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
