Sole source procurement may also be used when it is clear that competitive bidding will not produce any competitive advantage or would be impractical or not meet an urgent city procurement need; and WHEREAS, NCMC Section 2.60.220(C) allows the bid process be waived when the commodity or service to be procured, regardless of value, is required to integrate with or be compatible with existing furnishings, materials, systems, programs or equipment and the procurement can be timely made from a manufacturer or supplier who previously satisfactorily supplied the particular commodity or service.
