HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 2012-207RESOLUTION NO. 2012 — 207 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AND SUBMIT PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT AGREEMENT NO. 006-N TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO ENCUMBER $730,000 IN FEDERAL SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL FUNDING FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE COOLIDGE AVENUE SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL PROJECT NEAR KIMBALL ELEMENTARY WHEREAS, on October 13, 2008 Caltrans awarded the City of National City a $730,000 Federal Safe Routes to School Grant for construction of the Coolidge Avenue Safe Routes to School Project near Kimball Elementary School (The "Project"); and WHEREAS, to satisfy the Grant requirements, a Program Supplement Agreement must be executed and submitted by the Mayor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of National City hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute and submit Program Supplement Agreement No. 006-N to the State of California Department of Transportation to encumber $730,000 in Federal Safe Routes to School Grant funding for construction of the Coolidge Avenue Safe Routes to School Project near Kimball Elementary School.
