Dalla, CMC City Clerk City of National City --- NOT ADOPTED --- RESOLUTION NO. 2012 — 222 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NUMBER ONE TO THE MONITORING WELL ENCROACHMENT PERMIT AND AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AND CHEVRON ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT COMPANY WHEREAS, on November 23, 2010, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2010-248, approving an Encroachment Permit and Agreement with Chevron Environmental Management Company ("Chevron") for the installation of one groundwater monitoring well within the public right-of-way on West 8th Street, and one groundwater monitoring well in the alley between Roosevelt Avenue and Hoover Avenue, south of 8th Street; and WHEREAS, the monitoring well on West 8th Street was installed on January 7, 2011, and closed on April 28, 2011, at the request of the City due to future 8th Street improvements; the monitoring well in the alley way was installed on January 6, 2011, and is still in existence and monitored semi-annually; and WHEREAS, Chevron desires to extend the term of the Encroachment Agreement, which expires on November 23, 2012, for another two years to continue monitoring ground water. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of National City hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Encroachment Permit and Agreement with Chevron Environmental Management Company to extend the term for an additional two years, expiring November 23, 2014.
