HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 2014-27RESOLUTION NO. 2014 — 27 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS FOR TRAFFIC CALMING ON EASTBOUND DIVISION STREET BETWEEN "D" AVENUE AND HIGHLAND AVENUE WHEREAS, the segment of Division Street between "D" Avenue and Highland Avenue is a divided roadway with westbound Division Street located within the City of San Diego and eastbound Division Street located within the City of National City; and WHEREAS, staff hosted a Neighborhood Workshop on November 21, 2013 to discuss traffic conditions and residents' concerns regarding eastbound Division Street between "D" Avenue and Highland Avenue; and WHEREAS, after considering residents' concerns, staff recommended installation of raised pavement markers at set intervals across said segment of eastbound Division Street; and WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Committee approved staff's recommendation at its February 12, 2014 meeting. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of National City hereby authorizes the installation of raised pavement markers for traffic calming at set intervals across eastbound Division Street between "D" Avenue and Highland Avenue.
