RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY ("CITY") AND NATIONAL
CITY LIVING HISTORY FARM PRESERVE ("NCLHFP") FOR MAINTENANCE AND
OPERATION OF THE STEIN FARM FOR A SIXTY -MONTH PERIOD FROM MARCH 1,
2022 TO FEBRUARY 28, 2027 AND AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A
CULTURAL ASSETS FUND APPROPRIATION OF $5,000 AND USE OF THE
CULTURAL ASSETS FUND FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATING COSTS
WHEREAS, the City of National City ("CITY") owns the improved real property
commonly known wn as "Stein Farm," located at 1808 "F" Avenue, National City, California
91950 (the "Property"). The improvements on the Property are referred to as the "Stein
Farm House" and the "Stein Farm Barn." The property shall also include the Victorian
House relocated onto the property from 1904 "F" Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the CITY desires to enter into a Maintenance & Operating Agreement
due to the special services to be performed under this Agreement for the CITY and to
facilitate a more collaborative relationship between the CITY and the operator of the
Property; and
WHEREAS, the CITY desires the services of an organization to maintain and
operate the Property in a manner beneficial to the public; and
WHEREAS, the CITY has determined that National City Living History Farm
Preserve ("NCLHFP") is a qualified, non-profit corporation experienced in running a living
history farm; and
WHEREAS, the CITY wishes to have NCLHFP maintain and operate the Property
as an educational farm and museum for the community's benefit, and NCLHFP is willing
to operate and maintain the property for such a purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, E, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, E, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Authorizes the City Manager to enter into an Agreement between the
City of National City and National City Living History Farn Preserve for the Maintenance
and Operation of the Stein Family Farm for a 0-month period from March I , 2022 to
February 28, 2027 and authorizes the establishment of a Cultural Assets fund
appropriation of $5,000 and use of the Cultural Assets fund for maintenance and
operating costs.

Section The City Clerk shall certify the passage and adoption of this
Resolution and enter it into the book of original Resolutions.
