HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-28-1992 Agenda #4 - D92-9 BD9.2-� ity of National City, California COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMEN I' MEETING DATE April 9R, 1992 AGENDA ITEM NO. 4 1 ITEM TITLE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED FOR THE TRANSFER OF THE CITY -OWNED PARCEL OF LAND ON THE EASTSIDE OF EUCLID AVENUE TO THE ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNERS, WILLIAM AND FETUAO DESMOND PREPARED BY Cameron Berkuti DEPARTMENT Engineering EXPLANATION On January 14, 1992, the City Council declared several small parcels adjoining Euclid Avenue from 18th to 20th Streets as surplus and directed the Engineering Department to convey them to the adjacent interested property owners. Mr. and Mrs. Desmond have expressed their interest in obtaining the adjoining parcel No. 5 on the attached plat. They also agreed to merge the parcel with their property, A.P.N. 558-240- 15. Notice of merger A-200 (Rev. 9/80) sn RESOLUTION NO. 92-63 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED FOR THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY TO WILLIAM S. AND FETUAO DESMOND (Portion of A.P.N. 558-240-09) WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 92-8 the City Council declared that several City -owned remnant parcels adjacent to Euclid Avenue from 18th to 20th Streets are surplus no longer necessary for City use and directed the Engineering Department to convey them to the adjacent interested property owners; and WHEREAS, William S. and Fetuao Desmond have expressed an interest in Parcel No. 5 and have agreed to merge the parcel with their property (A.P.N. 558-240-15), as shown on Exhibit A. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a quitclaim deed transferring real property owned by the City (Portion of A.P.N. 558-240-09) to William S. and Fetuao Desmond, husband and wife as joint tenants.
