POLICY #205 TITLE: Intrabudget Adjustment Request Policy for
the Mayor and City Council
PURPOSE
To establish a procedure for the transfer of funds from one account to another for accounts within
the control of the Mayor or a City Councilmember.
POLICY
The intrabudget adjustment request (IBAR) is the procedure that is utilized to transfer funds
from one account to another within a department. In the event of a transfer of funds from one
account to another account for accounts within the control of a Councilmember, the
intrabudget adjustment request shall be signed by the Councilmember initiating the request,
and also by the Mayor. For accounts within the control of the Mayor, the intrabudget
adjustment request shall be signed by the Mayor, and also by a Councilmember. In addition,
a copy of the request shall be sent by email to all members of the City Council.
The lntrabudget Adjustment Request form, available from the Finance Department, is to be used
in making such requests.
