RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA,
CONFIRMING THE MAYORAL APPOINTMENT OF MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO
THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
WHEREAS, California Government Code section 40605 requires that the Mayor
appoint, with concurrence of the City Council, City Councilmembers to various regional board,
commission, and committee assignments; and
WHEREAS, section 45-6 of the County Water Authority Act, Chapter 45 of the
Appendix to the Water Code of the State of California, similarly requires that the Mayor, with
consent and approval of the City Council, appoint a primary member to the San Diego County
Water Authority Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, on December 10, 2024, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 24-175
appointing Councilmember Yamane to the San Diego County Water Authority Board of
Directors (the "SDCWA Board"); and
WHEREAS, the SDCWA Board appointed position does not have an alternate; and
WHEREAS, effective January 12, 2026, the Mayor accepted the resignation of
Councilmember Yamane from the SDCWA Board, creating a vacancy that needs to be filled
by another Councilmember; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has appointed AA4Zq&f j?0/1 AAorrl5t�n to fill the
vacant position for the remainder of the existing two-year term, which expires March 8, 2026,
and, upon expiration, continue into a new six -year term ending March 8, 2032, or until the
end of the Councilmember's term if the Councilmember is not re-elected.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the City Council hereby concurs with and approves the Mayoral

of Directors for the remainder of the term ending March 8, 2026 and continuing into a new
six -year term ending March 8, 2032.
Section 2: That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
Resolution and enter it into the book of original Resolutions.
Section 3: That the City Clerk is directed to provide a certified copy of this
Resolution in its entirety to the San Diego County Water Authority Board of Directors.
