FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT
BY AND BETWEEN
THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
AND
WEST COAST ARBORISTS, INC.
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT is entered into this 20th day of
January, 2026, by and between the CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, a municipal corporation
("CITY"), and WEST COAST ARBORISTS, INC., a California corporation (the
"CONTRACTOR").
RECITALS
WHEREAS, the CITY and the CONTRACTOR entered into an Agreement on
June 18, 2024 (the "Agreement") for the term of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027,
wherein the CONTRACTOR agreed to provide Urban Forestry Maintenance Services to
assist CITY's Park staff with ongoing tree trimming needs and demands for a not-to-
exceed amount of $270,000, and an initial term of three (3) years, with the option to
extend this term for up to three (3) one-year extensions; and
WHEREAS, based on the CONTRACTOR's performance and quality of work, and
to ensure continuation of assistance and support to Parks staff necessitated by ongoing
staffing issues, the CITY desires to have the CONTRACTOR continue providing Urban
Forestry Maintenance Services for the CITY, and the CONTRACTOR is willing to perform
such services; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the Agreement by increasing the not-to-
exceed amount by $180,000, for a total not-to-exceed amount of$450,000.
AGREEMENT
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree that:
1. The June 18, 2024 Agreement is hereby amended to increase the not-to-exceed
amount by $180,000, for a total not-to-exceed amount of$450,000.
2. The parties further agree that, with the foregoing exceptions, each and every
other term and provision of the June 18, 2024 Agreement shall remain in full force
and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this First Amendment to the
Agreement on the date and year first above written.
