Real Property Transaction — Exchange of City -owned property at 522 West 8th Street for property at
2020 Hoover Avenue owned by the Illes Family Trust

EXPLANATION:
At their June 22 meeting, the City Council approved an Agreement for the exchange of City -owned
property at 522 West 8th Street for property owned by the Illes Family Trust at 2020 Hoover Avenue.
The Agreement was approved subject to final approval of the Agreement's provisions by the City
Attorney. The Agreement called for the City to pay for repair of vandalism that had occurred to the
property at 522 West 8th Street. With this exception, no compensation was to be paid by either party.

Since the conditional approval of the Agreement by the City Council, the other party to the transaction
has asked that the City reimburse them for various work to be performed on the property at 522 West
8th Street. The staff requests City Council direction in this regard.
