NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Council of the City of National City
and the Community Development Commission of the City of National City will hold a
special meeting on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at 5:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as
the matter may be considered, in the Main Conference Room at the Civic Center, 1243
National City Boulevard, National City, California, 91950. The business to be transacted
at said meeting will be for the City Council to consider the following:

Real Property Transaction — Exchange of City -owned property at 522 West 8th Street for property at
2020 Hoover Avenue owned by the Illes Family Trust

EXPLANATION:
At their June 22, 2010 meeting, the City Council approved an Agreement for the exchange of City -
owned property at 522 West 8th Street for property owned by the Illes Family Trust at 2020 Hoover
Avenue. The Agreement was amended on November 9, 2010, to extend the Contingency Period by 45
days, within which time the parties review and approve or disapprove environmental conditions on the
properties.
It is necessary to extend the Contingency Period by an additional 22 days, and for the City Council to
consider approving an indemnification agreement, whereby the City would agree to indemnify the Illes
Family Trust and Wells Fargo Bank from liability arising from the environmental conditions on the City -
owned property. The Bank is involved because it will hold a deed of trust on the City -owned property
after title to the property passes to the Illes Family Trust..
