Public Hearing — Street Vacation vacating of a portion of excess right-of-way on West 30th Street east of
Interstate 5 and the railroad right-of-way (Applicant: City of National City)(Case File No. 2011-18 SC).

EXPLANATION:
The City Council initiated the vacation request on May 17, 2011 to vacate the unimproved portion of right-of-way
at the western terminus of West 30th Street. The Planning Commission determined that the vacation is consistent
with the General Plan on June 6, 2011. The attached Background Report describes the proposed vacation in
more detail.

Exempt pursuant to CEQA, Section 15305 Minor Alterations in Land Use Limitations, Class 5. The street and
alley vacation do not result in any changes in land use.

Staff concurs with the Planning Commission determination and recommends approval of the street vacation.
