All employees of the City of National City receive a rate of pay within the established salary range for the job
classification into which the employee has been hired. The purpose of this item is to establish the fiscal year 2013-
2014 salary schedule for classifications within the Confidential employee group.

There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. Personnel costs for Confidential employee group are
incorporated in the City of National City General Fund budget presented to the City Council for adoption on this
same Council agenda.
