HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 2014-- RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH D-MAX ENGINEERING, INC. FOR A NOT -TO -EXCEED AMOUNT OF $1,000,000 TO PROVIDE ON -CALL PROJECT SUPPORT SERVICES FOR NATIONAL CITY'S CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PROJECT MANAGEMENT, ENGINEERING AND CONTRACT MANAGEMENT, CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND INSPECTIONS, ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING, COMPLIANCE AND ASSESSMENTS, PLAN REVIEWS, CONSTRUCTABILITY REVIEWS, AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH WHEREAS, the Engineering Department issued Requests for Proposals to professional firms to provide on -call project support services for National City's Capital Improvement Program ("CIP"), including, but not limited to, project management, engineering and contract management, construction management and inspections, environmental planning, compliance and assessments, plan reviews, constructability reviews, and community outreach; and WHEREAS, 64 responses to the Requests for Proposals were received and reviewed, taking into consideration, among other things, past performance history, knowledge of the environment, the type of services offered, and the cost to the City; and WHEREAS, staff recommends D-Max Engineering, Inc., to provide on -call project support services for National City's Capital Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, the City has determined that D-Max Engineering, Inc., is qualified by experience and ability to perform the services desired by the City, and D-Max Engineering, Inc., is willing to perform such services for the not to exceed amount of $1,000,000 from April 15, 2014 through April 14, 2016. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby approves the selection of D-Max Engineering, Inc., and authorizes the Mayor to execute an agreement with D-Max Engineering, Inc., in the not to exceed amount of $1,000,000 to provide on -call project support services for National City's Capital Improvement Program, including but not limited to project management, engineering and contract management, construction management and inspections, environmental planning, compliance and assessments, plan reviews, constructability reviews, and community outreach.
