Bid Opening Sheet A-20002(9 99) EXPLANATION: On July 25, 2002, two bids were received and opened for the Civic Center and Police Facility Security and Fire System Enhancements, Specification No. 02-6. The project includes the installation of a fully integrated security system and fire alarm system in the City of National City Civic Center Building. This project includes electrified door control hardware,ocald readers, ers,reqofion d for pdetocosed fabl e and conduit needed for the existing floor plan, and improvements. The project also includes a badging system and software, and a head -end system installed at the Police Station facility. The first phase of this project will create a security, access, and fire alarm system for the Civic Center building in parallel with the existing Police Station system. The second phase will replace the existing Police Facility security, access, and fire alarm system with the new technology provided by Phase I. This project is the first of many phases that will strive to integrate security, access, and fire protection into all National City Civic facilities. Staff has reviewed all the proposals found the lowest responsive bidder ASSI Security, Inc. qualified to perform the work. The total cost of the project is estimated to be $275,160.00.
