Automated ADA Access Hardware (3 existing doors) LS 1 $21,620.00 $21,620.00 Total $250,920.00 $255,450.00 DISCUSSION: The contract price for Line Item No. 2 is increased by $8,730.00 at the City's request to provide compensation to the contractor for furnishing and installing one additional proximity card reader and associated door hardware, additional prewiring for the proposed personnel remodel area on the garden level, 8 panic buttons and associated wiring, and to supply 150 additional proximity security access cards. These additional items have been determined necessary to address current and future system needs. The contract price for Line Item No. 2 is reduced by $4,200.00 at the City's request to delete the five bay console at the system head end (police station communications room) that was determined no longer needed as part of this contract. Page 1 CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 CONTRACT ADJUSTMENT: As a result of this change order the contract price is adjusted as follows: 1. The contract price is increased in the amount of $4,530.00 from the current contract price of $250,920.00 to a new contract price of $255,450.00. 2. The contract time is been increased by seven (7) days. The contract completion date was previously established as Monday, January 20, 2003 and has been changed to Wednesday, January 29, 2003. This change order shall be considered full compensation for furnishing and installing the materials, labor, tools and equipment, profit, overhead, and all incidentals for performing the work described above. ASSI Security, Inc. will not be entitled to damages or additional payment for delays as described in the 1997 edition of the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, Section 6-6.3, for performing the work as described above.
