Pierce Manufacturing, Inc., is pleased to offer the City of National City the opportunity to take advantage of this competitive bid price. Breakdown of Costs: The City of Los Angeles' specification included upgrades that are not required by the City of National City. We are able to deduct these items and their associated costs. The Los Angeles award was made for $358,530.00 each. Net deductions amount to -$11,061 each. Our unit price would be $347,469,00. Subtract a prepayment discount of $13,363.00, and add sales tax of $25,893.00, for a total purchase price of $359,999.22. It has been determined that the City of Los Angeles bid fully complies with Section 11 of Ordinance #1480, and that it would be in the City's best interest to take advantage of this opportunity. The annual principal and interest payments on this lease/purchase will be $78,452.40. $72,000 in CDBG funds was authorized for the first annual payment (principal only), from account #301-412-125-519-0000.
