RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
ACCEPTING THE LOWEST, RESPONSIVE, RESPONSIBLE BID
FROM SOFTWARE SPECTRUM FOR MICROSOFT EXCHANGE
SERVER LICENSES FOR A TOTAL AWARD OF $20,177.32
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent of the City of National City did, in open
session -on -April 14,-2905, publicly open, examine a d-deelare-all-sealed-bids for Bid No.
GS0405-5, the purchase of Microsoft Exchange Server Licenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of National City hereby awards the contract for the purchase of Microsoft
Exchange Server Licenses to the lowest, responsive bidder, to wit:
SOFTWARE SPECTRUM
BE IT 'FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of National
City hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent to execute on behalf of the City a purchase
order between Software Spectrum and the City of National City for the purchase of
Microsoft Exchange Server Licenses in the total amount of $20,177.32.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of May, 2005.

Request for Bid #GS0405-5 was issued for the purchase of Microsoft Exchange Server Licenses
for the MIS Department. Bids were mailed to nine (9) vendors, netting six (6) responses. Bids
were opened and publicly read on April 14, 2005 with no vendors present for the opening.
Software Spectrum offered the lowest, responsive, responsible bid.
The award will be in the amount of $20,177.32, including tax and delivery.
