Recitals: District and City are parties to an Agreement for Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services. The Agreement is on file in the office of the District Clerk as Document No. 47043, dated March 25, 2004. The Parties Agree: 1. As allowed in Section 2, Period, this Agreement is extended for six months. Therefore, the Agreement shall cover services rendered for the four-year period from July 1, 2003 to December 31, 2006. 2. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an Amendment to Agreement with the San Diego Unified Port District for police and fire services from July 1, 2003 through December 31, 2006, or until the effective date of the new agreement, whichever comes first.
