That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of National City is herein approved, is all that territory situate in the County of San Diego, State of California, more particularly described as follows: All that portion of Quarter Section 103 of Rancho de la Nacion, according to Map thereof No. 166 filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, described as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of said quarter section 103; Thence from said point of beginning westerly 1980 feet more or less along the north line of said Quarter Section to the west line of the east 1/2 of the northwest 1/4 of said quarter section 103; Thence southerly 1320 feet more or less along the west line of said east I/2 of the northwest 1/4 of said quarter section 103 to the south line of the north 1/2 of said quarter section 103; Thence easterly 1980 feet more or less along said south line of the north 1/2 of quarter section 103 to the east line of said quarter section 103; Thence northerly 1320 feet more r less along the east line of said quarter section 103 toothe point of beginning. In addition to all other compensation heretofore or hereafter provided to be paid for the services of National City officers and employees, longevity pay shall be paid to all officers and employees of the City of National City on the following basis: After five years of continuous and uninter- rupted service the sum of $10,00 per month; after ten years of continuous and uninterrupted service the sum of $15.00 per month; after fifteen years of continuous and uninterrupted service the sum of $20.00 per month; after twenty years of continuous and uninterrupted service the sum of $25.00 per month; after twenty-five years of continuous and uninterrupted service the sum of $30.00 per month, which shall be the maximum payable hereunder. §2. Vacations, sick leave, military leave and temporary absence authorized by the City Council of National City shall not be considered as interruption in service; provided however, that time spent in military service shall not be used in computing an officer's or employee's total uninter- rupted service for longevity pay purposes. §3. In the event an officer or employee ceases to be employed by National City for a reason other than military service, all rights to longevity pay shall be forfeited and expire, and if said officer or employee subsequently is reemployed by the City he shall not be entitled to any longevity pay by reason of any prior employment. The City Council of the City of National City does ordain as follows: §l. The City Council of the City of National City hereby declares its intention to vacate and close the following described portions of its public streets: Portions of "A" Avenue adjacent to lots II thru 20, Block 1 and dots 1 thru 10 Block 2, Subdivision of 10 Acre Lot 5 of 1/4 Section 153, according to Map thereof No. 200 on file in the Recorder's Office of San Diego County, California, more particularly described as follows: Parcel No. L Beginning at the southeast corner of said lot II in Block I; thence northeasterly along the arc of a 10 foot radius curve, concave to the left and having a radius point on the east line of said lot II a distance of 10 feet northerly from said point of beginning; to a point of tangency with a line parallel to and 10 feet from the east line of said Block I; thence northerly along said parallel line to a point of tangency with a 10 foot radius curve concave to the left; thence along said curve having a radius point in the east line of Lot 20 a distance of 10 feet southerly from the northeasterly corner thereof, to a point of intersection with said northeast corner; thence southerly along the east line of said Block 1 to the point of beginning. Particulars as to the proposed vacation are set forth in that certain map on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of National City. §4. The City Council has determined that the public con- venience and necessity require the reservation of easements and rights of way for structures enumerated in §8330 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and that this proceeding is taken subject to such reservations and exceptions. §5. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of National City, California is hereby directed to post notice of the passage of this Ordinance and the time and place of hearing in accordance with law.
