Justification for Change in Contract This change in contract is required for the removal and replacement of in -pavement flashing lights at a school cross -walk located at 24th Street and F Avenue. The removal and replacement is required in order to accommodate the raised elevation of 24th street that will occur from the 1 1/2 inch overlay that will be installed at the same location later in the same week. The work for this change in contract is of a specialized nature and it will be performed by Republic ITS, a contractor who is experienced with and qualified to perform such specialized work. The work for this change in contract is of the same type and character as the in -pavement flashing lights installed at Highland Ave, another National City project which was also performed by Republic ITS. The lump sum price for this change in contract is in -line with the work performed at Highland Ave. Cost Reconciliation See Attachments "A & B". Contractor will also remove cold mix and patch with ARHM paving at the same location. The work for this change in contract is of a specialized nature and will be performed by Republic ITS who is experienced with and qualified to perform such specialized work. Cost Reconciliation This change in the contract was reviewed and negotiated by and between the City Representatives and the Contractor and represents the entire agreement for the work described herein and includes all costs associated with the work including but not limited to manpower, equipment, labor, fees, taxes, insurance, bonding, overhead, profit, etc. and there will be no other compensation. This Change Order hereby incorporates the original contract and all its referenced documents' terms, conditions, and plans for the work as provided by the City.
