Notice of Completion Spec 11-05 NOC EXPLANATION Per Resolution No. 2010-38, City Council awarded a contract to Sadie Construction, Inc. in the amount of $84,475.00 for the National City Citywide Bus Bench -Shelter Installation Project, FY 11- 12, Specification No. 11-05. During the course of construction, one additive change order for $30,900.00 was included to this project in order to increase the number of locations from 11 to 15 since the bid came in at a lower price than that of the advertised Engineer's Estimate ($120,000). No line item increases/deductions were necessary since the project's scope of work complied with its plans, contract, and specifications as reflected in the attached final contract balance document. A final inspection was completed and closing documentation was submitted to the City for review and eligibility of a notice of completion. Final approval of the project was delayed because there were issues with the contractor's delivery of final closing documents. After these issues were resolved, the project was eligible for a notice of completion. Please refer to attached "Final Contract Balance" document for a breakdown of line items and contracted work days. After a comprehensive review, the project was eligible for a Notice of Completion. The work was found to be in accordance with the approved plans and specifications. In summary, the purpose of this resolution is to approve the final amount of the project at $115,375.00, accept the work performed, ratify the filing of a Notice of Completion, and release the retention amount of $5,738.75 to Sadie Construction, Inc.
