Contractor was directed to repair pothole due to a failed abandon utility abandonment as directed by National City at NC Blvd. and 7th. The City of National City and Contractor agree to the following change to the original Contract: The contractor will grind the additional area to a depth of approximately 8" to 12" and patch back with asphalt to fill the existing pothole and repair to a smooth compacted uniform finish. Current design requirements could pose added maintenance cost issues for the city with a low survivability rate of plant material. City will review adding this island at a later date with an automatic irrigation system.
