Reason/Purpose for this Change Order: !Unforeseen conditions have been discovered throughout the project for which change orders have been''. previously issued to account the differences in costs and some changes have not required change orders. Many; of these changes have increased the number working days required to complete the project. The City has alsol =allowed street closures in both a singular and dual directions and allowed certain street sections to remain to! reduce contract time. This change order addresses all contract time issues up to the date of its execution. All of adjustments to line items the cost issues have been addressed in previous change orders and in The City of National City and Contractor agree to the following change to the original Contract: ,The City and the Contractor agree that all the the additive and deductive work, change conditions and unforseen conditions up to the date this change order is executed have totalled to add 35 working days to the contract. The City and the Contractor further agree that the project shall be substantially complete with all surface' :improvements between Highland and National City Blvd. (NCB) by the end of that contract time. If the Contractor 'is not substantially complete with all those surface improvements within that contract time liquidated damages, ;shall be assessed in accordance with the Contract Documents until they are complete. The Contractor shall' :have an additional 4 weeks to complete all landscaping, improvements West of NCB and punchlist items from( the end of the new contract completion date. If the project is not wholly complete within 4 weeks (20 working', 'days) from the new completion date liquidated damages shall be assessed in accordance with the Contract, Documents. CHANGE ORDER NO. 27 September 24, 2014 Reason/Purpose for this Change Order: The Strongbox backflow enclosures SBBC-30SS did not fit over the backflow devices as designed and had to be upgraded to the larger enclosures SBBC-45SS. The SBBC-30SS was specifically called out in the plans and was an approved submittal. The City of National City and Contractor agree to the following change to the original Contract: The City and the Contractor agree that the Contractor shall install the SBBC-45SS Strongbox Backflow Enclosures. The agreed upon price for all costs associated with this work is as stated on this Change order. See Attachment "A" for cost breakdown.
