This letter is to advise you thatunder the current tow contract agreement, section 3.3, the National City Police Department will be seeking to exercise its option to extend the existing contract for a year. 3.3 Option to Renew The City of National City reserves the option to renew the Agreement up to three (3) successive one (1) year periods under the terms and conditions herein stated, beginning on the anniversary of the commencement of service, including any amendments. The renewal is contingent on a mutual agreement between the City and the Contractor, with such agreement to be confirmed by the Contract Administrator within sixty (60) days prior to the expiration of the contract period. The City of National City or the Contractor may decline to confirm the renewal of the Agreement for any reason whatsoever, which shall render the renewal option null and void. The City's initial letter informing the Contractor of the City's interest in exercising its option to renew the contract does not constitute an award of the option period. Any option acceptance must be confirmed by the City of National City in writing, before it becomes valid. If you wish to continue the contract of service with the City of National City under the current contractual obligations, please respond in writing within the next 30 days. (dba RoadOne) is interested in continuing to provide services as stated in Section 3.3, Option to Renew, of the contract. We understand the renewal is at the option of the City and subject to written approval by the City. All services will be provided in full compliance of the terms and conditions of the tow contract and its amendment(s). If anything further should be required, please contact me directly.
