The contractor was directed to remove and replace an additional 345 SF of cross gutter on the south side of
18th and B St. This portion of cross gutter was not shown to be removed and replaced on the plans and had
existing cracks. The contractor removed and disposed of the concrete cross gutter on a T&M basis.

The contractor was directed to install a metal edging on the north side of 18th and F St. to delineate the
existing turf, weed barrier and new cobbles adjacent to the school driveway. This work was not shown on the
original plans. The contractor performed this work on a T&M basis.

Due to delays on the Culvert Cleaning project, West -Tech demobilized after completing all creek work. Once
the Culvert Cleaning project was completed, West -Tech remobilized equipment and completed the remaining
creek work on the west end of the project. The contractor was paid on a T&M basis to remobilize the
equipment.

Reason/Purpose for this Change Order:
Place a protective concrete blanket on an existing sewer line beneath the creek.
The City of National City and Contractor agree to the following change to the original Contract:
The contractor was directed to place a protective blanket of concrete over a shallow sewer line on the west
end of the project running perpendicular to the creek. The existing sewer line could possibly be exposed or
damaged during future cleaning of the creek. The concrete blanket helps reduce the potential damage to the
existing sewer line. The contractor performed this work on a T&M basis.
