The bulk of the appropriation (Project D Communications Equipment $200,000) was to be used to upgrade three radio consoles to the new P25 MC7500 consoles at National City Police Dispatch. Subsequent to the original grant request, new revised and updated quotes were received from Motorola that increased the costs by $27,689. As a result, a new total appropriation for Project D Communications Equipment of $227,689 was required and approved.
