CIP No.: 18-07
Subject: Change Order No. 11
Change Order No. 11 provides for:
The additional excavation of contaminated soil for the foundations of the park lights.
Supporting Information:
The initial design for the park lights was a direct burial system into contaminated soil. The design was modified to a
standard break away support system with concrete foundations in clean soil. This new system will allow the City to
maintain all park lights without contacting the remaining contaminated soil. See Attachment A for the Time and
Material Breakdown.
Time Adjustment:
It is recommended that 1 working day be added to the contract time.
Cost Adjustment:
The initial removal and disposal of contaminated soil was captured under original Bid Line Item #11 -
Impacted Soil Handling (Export). The additional efforts went above and beyond this bid item and was
determined to be tracked under time and materials for a total of $1,736.86. The pay method and amount
have been reviewed by the Construction Manager Inspector and are considered fair and reasonable.
