Subject: Change Order No. 1
Change Order No. 1 provides for:
The replacement of damaged miscellaneous wood materials on Las Palmas Pool Facility Building 1 and Building 2.
Supporting Information:
During demolition of the existing roof system of building 1 and building 2 of Las Palmas Pool, it was discovered
that isolated areas of plywood decking, facia, and ledger had been damaged due to the reoccurring water leaks
through the existing roof. Prior to installation of the new TPO roof system, it was determined to replace the
damaged roof areas to minimize City maintenance and provide a completely new roof system. The quantities of
wood replacement are below;
Building 1
1,280 SF of CDX Plywood
40 LF of 2"x8" Lumber
40 LF of Corner Ledger
Building 2
- 96 SF of CDX Plywood
52 LF of 2"x8" Lumber
Time Adjustment:
Three (3) Working Days are suggested to be added to the contract time for miscellaneous wood replacement.
Cost Adjustment:
The total cost for replacing all damaged miscellaneous wood at Las Palmas Pool Facilities is $7,964.00. This will be
paid for by the allowance line item #5, Miscellaneous Wood Replacement (Deck, Trim, Fascia, Etc.)

This Change Order modifies Contractor's and the City's obligations and rights under the
abovementioned contract. This change order Is not effective until approved by the City.
Time adlustment:
Three (3) working days are added to contract time for the replacement of damaged miscellaneous wood
at Las Palmas Pool Facility's roofs.
Cost of Change Order
The City and the Contractor agree that the Contractor shall proceed under a Time
and Material basis to remove and replace damaged wood on Las Palmas Pool
Facilities Roofs. The City and the Contractor agree that the following wood
quantities have been replaced per building;
Building 1
- 1,280 SF of CDX plywood
- 40 LF of 2"x8' lumber
- 40 LF of corner ledger
Building 2
- 96 SF of CDX plywood
- 52 LF of 2"x8' lumber.
The City and the Contractor agree that there is no additional cost to the contract
and all associated work, labor, equipment and materials required to complete this
work under a time and material basis totals to an agreed price of $7,964.00 and be
paid per allowance Bid Line Item 45, Miscellaneous Wood Replacement.

By signing this Change Order the Contractor confirms that he/she is completely familiar with and has fairly
negotiated its price, terms and conditions. If this Change Order is approved, Contractor will provide all of the
equipment, materials and labor necessary to provide a complete work as described above at that the price
stated herein. Contractor confirms that the price is fair and complete and represents all costs associated with
the work, including but not limited to all equipment, materials, labor, supervision, overhead, fees, bonds,
insurance, profit, etc. and that there will be no further compensation. All of the terms and conditions of the
original contract documents are incorporated herein. The signer for the Contractor confirms that he/she is
authorized to bind the Contractor to this Change Order.
